How to fill in the template
- Enter one metric per row with a unit and a reporting period in its name.
- Set the direction to Higher or Lower depending on the objective. Enter nonnegative target and actual values.
- The ratio always means actual divided by target. Status compares values using the selected direction; ratios above 100% are not always favourable.
Calculations cover rows 10–39. To extend the file, copy the final row with its formulas and update total ranges.
Worked example
For output, 110 against a target of 100 meets a Higher target. For downtime, 6 against a target of 5 misses a Lower target.
What to check
Do not average ratios for unrelated metrics. A zero target has no ratio, but the status can still compare the recorded values.
