- Calculate powers, roots and grouped arithmetic expressions.
IN PRACTICE
Example
In DEG mode, sin(30) + sqrt(16) returns 4.5. In RAD mode, sin(pi/2) returns 1.
GOOD TO KNOW
How does the percentage key work?
% divides its preceding value by 100. For example, 200*10% = 20. To add 10% to 200, enter 200*(1+10%). Results use floating-point arithmetic and may have rounding errors.
Supports real numbers only. Powers are right-associative: 2^3^2 = 512. The leading minus applies after exponentiation: -2^2 = -4. Use parentheses for (-2)^2. Numerical rounding may occur.
