What does the demolition cost estimate include?
Base = area × rate; subtotal = base + debris + foundation + permits + utilities + remediation; total = subtotal × (1 + contingency/100). All monetary inputs must use one currency and a consistent tax basis. Rates are illustrative, not local market prices. Base rate should exclude separately entered extras. Surface must match the contractor’s rate basis. Excludes rebuilding and land purchase; assessment and specialist quotes are needed for hazardous materials.
