Build a campaign URL with UTM parameters
Use a destination URL and consistent campaign labels to distinguish traffic sources. A link might contain utm_source=pinterest, utm_medium=social and utm_campaign=autumn_tools. These labels describe your promotion; they do not create visitors or change the landing page content. Test the final link before sharing it.
Keep campaign naming consistent
Choose one spelling and capitalization for each source and medium so your reports can group similar links. Use a campaign label for the promotion and a content label when comparing placements or creative variants. Do not put personal information in UTM values: URL parameters can appear in browser history and analytics logs.
