How to use air receiver tank sizing calculator
- Check the input units and assumptions.
- Review the result and example.
IN PRACTICE
Example
Qd = 600 L/min; Qc = 200 L/min; 30 s; 8 → 6 bar(g); P₀ = 1 bar(a) → 100 L.
GOOD TO KNOW
How is this result calculated?
V (L) = max(Qdemand − Qcompressor, 0) (L/min) × duration (s)/60 × Pambient (bar absolute) / (Pmax − Pmin) (bar). Peak-demand storage model, not load/unload cycle sizing. Equal, constant temperature assumed. Both flows use the same ambient FAD reference. Select a certified pressure vessel and account for usable minimum pressure.
