Choose two or four pages per sheet

Printing multiple pages on one sheet is often called n-up printing. Two pages per sheet keeps text larger; four pages uses less paper but makes each page smaller. Toolnoza places pages onto one landscape A4 sheet, so check whether your original document is portrait or landscape and whether its text will remain readable.

The layout is useful for draft review, handouts and compact reference copies. It is not a replacement for the original document when signatures, annotations, interactive forms or fine detail must be preserved.

Arrange pages and review the output

  1. Keep a copy of the original PDF.
  2. Choose two or four pages per sheet in the PDF layout tool.
  3. Download the new PDF and verify page order, orientation and margins.
  4. Use print preview at actual paper size before printing a full set.

For a 12-page portrait document printed two-up, the output has six landscape sheets. Four-up uses three sheets, but the page text is smaller. If a page contains a large diagram or fine print, use two-up or print that page separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does this change the original PDF? The tool creates a separate output file. Will four pages per sheet always save ink? It can reduce the number of sheets, but printer settings and color content still affect ink use. Are forms and annotations preserved? This layout tool omits interactive form fields and annotations; keep the original if they matter.
